I still don't know what I'm doing
Verily, I am hopeless. I can't figure out how to add buttons, so it's just hyperlinks over there in the right sidebar for now. I'll get better.
According to a local paper, as of 4:00 pm Monday we were only 1.6" of rain short of the wettest recorded month. They started keeping track in 1945, and the record is January of 1953, with 12.93". This January was ranked 4th for precipitation, but we got more rain this evening, so I suspect I've just endured the 2nd or 3rd soggiest month in our fine city's history. Mmm, smell the mold.
Olympics news: I've committed to knitting the Clock Vest from Folk Vests. It's going to be a gift for my mom, and I'm knitting it out of Cascade 220 in a lovely denim blue. I'm currently "training" by practicing the cables on a square for the ongoing aran sampler blanket. The cable charts are now making sense to me, which makes me feel like my brain has been colonized. I'll need to do some fair isle to recover. Nancy and I are casting on at her place during the opening ceremonies. Her TV is tiny, but since the ceremonies are generally silly anyway, it won't really matter. We'll schedule my larger TV for ice dancing.
Randomness: Chloe is shedding. We've learned that it's perfectly possible to vacuum the dog.
