Let's talk about the weather

It's been a slow blogging spell. I've been knitting a (slightly late) Mother's Day present, which I don't want to show here until Mom gets it (Hi Mom!). I've resumed work on Crofter's, and I'm almost finished with the body, which means it's time to cut my knitting open. I'll be sure to document the exciting steek process.

The most exciting thing happening in my life? Weather. Jenine, this is especially for you. Does it make you feel better?

This weather is so strange. I'm used to a long damp slide into Summer; this is more like a plunge into the deep end. I think I'll go camp out at Lowe's and watch people get nasty over last years fan backstock.

we must have traded places b/c over here in arkansas, it's 60 something and cloudy. everybody is complaining that it's too cold. i'm just fucking elated to be wearing long sleeves.

that's the way it should be, for god's sake.

but i'm not bitter.

miss you!

You seem to be having pretty much the same temps like we have over here at the moment - seems a tad warm for May, no? Well, do stay cool and enjoy it! :)

Are they dropping like flies out there?

Agree w/ Anonymous -- you've got our weather and vice-versa. I had to take my plants in off of the front porch last week. My kids are giving me grief b/c it's the next-to-last week of school and I'm making them wear jeans instead of shorts (gasp) and put on a jacket before they go outside (gasp again!). We're supposed to be back in the 70s tomorrow, I think.
